Pays of to have a fancy phone sometimes. I installed Endomondo on my Android G1 phone recently and got hooked. When allowed to use your phone’s navigation it will mark your cycling (or running, or…) routes on google maps, give you your speeds at different times and so on. You can also check out routes marked by other users, do challenges and form teams.

Also good for not very sporty but geeky types - adds an extra technological edge to the whole experience which makes it that much more enjoyable.

It works on many models of Nokia, HTC, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, BlackBerry, even LG phones. And of course ze iPhone. Check out available downloads here.
